Departments

Administration
Central office administration is responsible for the oversight of all district policies. Central administration works with the administrative staff to attend to the needs of the community, staff and most importantly the students of Atlanta ISD.

Business & Finance
Atlanta ISD will be efficient managers of all district revenues by targeting expenditures through careful planning and goal setting strategies. District goals and priorities will be supported by appropriate budget allocations. AISD will widely distribute information concerning the district budget, tax rate, and accountability ratings associated with fiscal management.

Curriculum & Instruction
Student academic performance on state and national exams will reflect continuous improvement and excellence in learning. Emphasis will be placed on initiating strategies aimed at closing the achievement gap for at-risk, limited English proficient, special education, and economically disadvantaged students. Students will have access to extensive academic offerings and programs designed to provide college credit.

Health Services
School nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing that advances the well-being, academic success, and life-long achievement and health of students. AISD school nurses facilitate positive student responses to normal development; promote health and safety, including a healthy environment, intervene with actual and potential health problems; provide case management services; and actively collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy, and learning. AISD currently employs 4 Registered Nurses. These nurses are responsible for the entire student and staff population on their assigned campus. They provide a healthcare safety net, identifying healthcare homes, coordinating services and assuring continuity of care.

Human Resources
Atlanta ISD will attract and retain the highest quality teachers and staff and support their efforts with quality professional development. Student Support Services
Facilities will be provided that are supportive of a quality instructional program and represent the importance of public education within the community. Facility improvements will reflect the importance of energy management and conservation in maintaining efficient fiscal operations. Facilities will be provided that provide a safe and secure environment for students and district personnel. Transportation, custodial operations and cafeteria management will be provided to the district and will maintain excellence in delivery of services.

Special Education
Cass County Shared Services Arrangement (CCSSA) consists of five local education agencies that jointly operate their special education programs as a shared services arrangement.

Technology
Atlanta ISD will invest in evolving technology and maintaining existing infrastructure in order to promote student/technology engagement in the teaching and learning process. The district will provide technology that supports efficient administration, district support, and teaching activities. Technology professional development and training opportunities for personnel will be emphasized.
