DAEP
Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP)
Atlanta ISD is dedicated to providing every student with a quality education in a safe and supportive environment. The district believes that learning thrives where there is mutual respect, responsibility, and self-discipline. While every student has the right to learn and every teacher has the right to teach, those rights come with responsibilities that support a positive school culture.
The Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) serves as an extension of Atlanta ISD’s commitment to helping all students succeed—academically, socially, and behaviorally. The DAEP is an off-campus program designed for students whose behavior interferes with their learning or disrupts the learning environment of others. Through structured support, academic instruction, and behavioral guidance, the program helps students recognize the importance of positive choices, personal accountability, and respect for others.
Our goal is to teach students self-discipline and equip them with the skills needed to make constructive decisions both in school and in life. By addressing the underlying causes of misbehavior and providing individualized support, DAEP helps students overcome challenges, develop confidence, and return to their home campus ready to succeed.
